this table is sad because no one is sitting at it

I often find myself passing through my life without actually engaging with it, physically going through the motions but with my mind elsewhere. When I am lost in my inner thoughts those inhabiting the outer world around me disappear, and I too cease to exist outside of my imagination.

Our personal experience of the world we encounter is dependent on the way in which we (choose to) look at it. In turn, our perception of reality affects the way in which we interact with the world we experience.

Created using cheap colour films and high street developing labs, 'this table is sad because no one is sitting at it' employs a twin lens photographic technique to consider the subjective experience of the transitory moment.

Selected images. To see more, or to ask about exhibition/sales please contact me.
