this table is sad because no one is sitting at it
I find myself passing through my life without actually engaging with it, I am physically going through the motions but my mind is elsewhere. The smallest details in my thoughts grow heavy with a detached significance, which is transferred onto my external environment. When lost in this inner world, those inhabiting the external around me disappear, and I too cease to exist outside of my imagination.
Created using cheap colour films and high street developing labs, 'this table is sad because no one is sitting at it' employs a twin lens photographic technique to consider the subjective experience of the transitory moment.
